Please only contact if you meet the requirements. After training is complete, you will have the option to pick the opening shift or closing shift. We are flexible when it comes to scheduling. Closing shift is 2PM to 6PM 5 or 6 days a week.

Requirements Experience: Proven experience as a sushi chef or in a similar Japanese culinary role.

Sushi Preparation: Prepare a variety of sushi items (maki, nigiri, sashimi) to order and for retail display, including "hot bowls" and other Japanese dishes.

Ingredient Management: Slice and fillet raw fish, prepare vegetables, and maintain ingredient freshness.
Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, ensuring compliance with all health regulations and proper food storage temperatures.

Customer Service: Interact with customers in a retail environment, take special orders, and make recommendations.
Inventory & Production: Monitor stock levels of ingredients, assist with inventory management, and ensure efficient production to minimize waste.

Closing Duties: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and the station at the end of the shift.

This is located inside a grocery store and we share the kitchen with the deli department. You must clean up after every use of the shared kitchen and you must follow rules set by the market.
